Striving to reach your goals, only to be standing in the same spot? Start doing this one thing and actually start achieving those goals!
Do you have clear goals you are currently working towards? Even better, are your goals written down somewhere? 97% of people will answer no to this question. This would mean that an even larger percentage will answer no when I ask if they have planned out and written down the smaller steps needed to achieve that goal.
Brian Tracy wrote a book called ‘Eat That Frog’. I know, an unusual name, right? Well, his book is all about overcoming procrastination, being clear with what you need to achieve and getting those things down on paper. In his book, it is said that only 3% of people have clear, written goals. That 3% of people are said to achieve 10-20 times more than those who have an equal or greater level of education, but for some reason, have not participated in the simple act of writing down their goals. It’s a no brainer.
So, the secret ingredient to actually achieving your goals? Write them down!
Be clear of your goals, write them down, and you will achieve 10-20 times more than those around you. What steps do you need to take to get there? Write them down too. When will you do those steps? Write that down too! Have it up in your room. Look at it each day, either consciously or subconsciously, and I guarantee that the actions you take each day will get you closer and closer to achieving those goals.
So, what are we waiting for? Let’s do this! Every minute you waste without having a clear, written goal, is detrimental to your progression towards achievement. Grab a paper and pen and write down 1-3 clear goals that you want to achieve in the next 3 months. Show a friend, get some feedback.
WRITE DOWN YOUR GOALS HERE:
Give yourself a timeframe to get it done. Have an accountability buddy and don’t stop making strides towards your goals!
Before you know it, it will be 3 months in the future and you would have achieved 3 major goals. Be the 3%. Write down your goals and make a plan.
